Adding New Magic to Old Traditions!
A simple way to spruce up those old traditions; giving a whole new meaning to ‘Home Sweet Home'.
If you’re like me, baking can sometimes feel like too much, especially when “rising” and “resting” are involved. To all the sourdough wizards who mastered this tricky task in 2020 — I wasn’t one of them!
However, I am a fan of adding new flavor to old traditions, making things your own, and trying something new (I was feeling very crafty this season). It brings me peace & feeds my creative soul, plus Andrew has taken an interest in wanting to make a homemade mess in the kitchen with me.
New fav seasonal craft — dried orange decorations, email me if you want details or directions. I’ll be doing this every year.
Fav day of the year — bringing home our tree 2025
Craving warm, gooey cinnamon rolls — I stumbled upon a “no yeast, no rising” recipe that is decidedly going to become our new holiday favorite. No more canned cinnamon rolls. We made this recipe together this morning while we decorated the beautiful Fraser Fir that we brought home yesterday, which is one of my absolute favorite days of the year.
These were so easy & fun to make together — I had to share! Also, this dough would make great biscuits for biscuits & gravy too. I hope you get a chance to try it, especially if you’re not a big baker like yours truly. We’ll definitely make these again when our “kids” come home for the holidays!
